Tool changes can be performed quickly and easily allowing operators to process and shape complex panels in one operation.
The SBP types range from 2750kN up to 15000kN
Each press can be equipped with specific tools for the following purposes:
Bending stamps can be joined together to create the optimal bending tool for both larger and smaller panels. Bending is often the last step in creating double curved panels and allows creation of the ideal shape. Using the intuitive user interface, the operator manoeuvres the plate easily under the press to manage the forming process.
A PWU rolling unit consists of an upper and lower wheel that run in opposite directions. Depending on the targeted shape, rolling is frequently the first step in the forming process and is used to stretch certain lines on the panel. Rolling is a highly effective way to form a complex shape. The only affect it has on the material is that metal is being strengthened. The surface remains smooth.
In specific situations, often related to small panels, stamping is the best way to create a shape. For this, Nieland’s SBP press can be equipped with a toolset which includes a variety of top and bottom dies.
